Silverberry

This average-sized cactus grows up to 56 feet (17.1 meters) tall. The wispy stem is silver, and is dotted with small silver spines. The spherical body is red, and is covered in dozens of rigid muted red spines.

It is quick growing, taking 10 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with petals that are either sky blue or cyan, with a yellow center grow at the top, reappearing after 10 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a trumpet with 38 raised, narrow petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like rotten meat.

The cactus's skin is tough, the violet flesh is smooth, and the sky blue sap is thin.
