Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This colossal bine is a very slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,973 feet (906.2 meters) and growing as high as 660 feet (201.2 meters).
It takes 27 years for the yellow stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 1.7 feet (51 cm) and remain soft and fleshy.
The circular, leathery leaves reach up to 1.9 feet (58 cm) in length. They are orange and grey, and have serrated edges.
During late spring, the bine produces many average crimson flowers.
It commonly grows in large patches.
