Yellowfinger Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This big tree grows up to 61 meters (200.1 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 378 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a long and flexible, wavy trunk covered in ridged, yellow bark, and inside, the hard wood is pale yellow.

The small bunches of branches are very short, thin and wispy and are covered with small bunches of leathery, giant, finger-like leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are sky blue on the edges and light purple at the center.

In late summer it forms giant, washed-out red, shelled seeds.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.

It can absorb up to 8 times its own weight in water.
