Copperleaf
Shrub type: Deciduous (Stores water in its leaves)This average-sized shrub grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 170 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.
It has dozens of slender, crooked stems covered in delicate, wrinkled, copper-coloured bark, and the wood inside is white with black speckles.
The branches are short, rigid and upright that and are covered with small bunches of large, broad, flat, leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are found in amber and gold varieties, rigid and rough.
In mid-spring it produces lots of giant, muted green flowers with stiff, pointed petals. They are sturdy and have a faint scent that smells like rotting meat.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
