Cyan Fruit Tree

This modest-sized fruit tree grows up to 19 feet (5.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 25 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a wide, slanted trunk covered in very thick, wrinkled, gray bark, and inside, the very dense wood is yellow.

The small bunches of branches are short and thin and are covered with handfuls of small, long, tapering leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are intense green with gold tips.

In early spring, it produces large amounts of tiny, peach blossoms with many layers of petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have the faintest scent that smells like faeces.

In early autumn it produces large, cuboid fruit. The clammy lime skin is tough and inedible, and the crunchy cyan flesh is bitter and very juicy. The drab orange seeds are large and are bunched at the top of the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with clear space between them.
