Caramel

This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is gray-green, and is covered in handfuls of rigid hazel spines. The angular, caramel trunk can grow to as much as 5 feet (1.5 meters) in diameter in the middle. Its orange branches trail down towards the ground and start growing a quarter of the way up the stem.

The sparse amounts of ripped-edged, fan-like leaves are beige on the edges and vibrant orange at the center. They are light, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is slow growing, taking 28 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with each petal a slightly different shade of vibrant orange grows at the top, reappearing once every 10 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 10 curved petals. It has a soft scent that smells like misty mornings.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the turquoise flesh is soft, and the amber sap is thin.
