Caramel

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This giant cactus grows up to 152 feet (46.3 meters) tall. It splits randomly along the body to form 6 spear shaped stems. Each stem is gray-green, and is covered in thousands of rigid caramel spines.

It is slow growing, taking 40 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with petals that are orange at the sides and white at the center grow at the top, reappearing after 5 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 30 petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like cherry.

The cactus's skin is delicate, the caramel flesh is soft, and the light grey sap is thin and can kill if consumed.

It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
The sap is violet.
