Crimson Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This enormous leaf succulent grows up to 139 feet (42.4 meters) tall. The narrow stem is lime green, and is dotted with small beige spines. The wavy-edged, needle-like leaves are moss green with crimson tips. Copious amounts of them grow from the base like blades of grass. The leaves are light, but do not detach easily.

It is slow growing, taking 40 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with dark grey petals on the lower layer and turquoise petals decorated with blood red dots on the inner layer. The central disk is subtle orange grow at the top, reappearing after 6 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is largely flat with handfuls of widely spaced round-tipped petals. It has a weak scent that smells like pepper.

The leaf succulent's skin is rock-hard, the azure flesh is slimy, and the dark blue sap is thin.


It is suitable for making strong rope
It has impressive regenerative properties.
