Copperleaf

This large leaf succulent grows up to 104 feet (31.7 meters) tall. The fan-like stem is copper, and is covered in brittle yellow spines. The lumpy leaves are found in blood red and orange varieties. Very large amounts of them grow on flat, silver branches that are very long and slender. The leaves are strong, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid cyan petals decorated with light grey dots and a brilliant blue central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. It has a weak scent that smells like paint.

The leaf succulent's skin is rock-hard, the pastel orange flesh is soft, and the red sap is thin.
