Burgundy Needle Conifer

Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This large tree grows up to 63 meters (206.7 feet) tall and lives for over 2,000 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 2525 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a flexible, wonky trunk covered in hard, cracked, dark green bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is burgundy.

The excessive amount of branches trail down across the ground, covered with large amounts of miniature, burgundy needles. The needles themselves are light.

In late summer it produces medium-sized, red, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.

The sap causes itchiness of the skin
The leaves are excellent for making pulp fibers.
