Silverpine

Tree type: Coniferous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This giant tree grows up to 106 meters (347.8 feet) tall and lives seemingly forever, with many known specimen being tens of thousands of years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a very thick, angular trunk covered in ridged, silver and white bark, and inside, the dense wood is white with black speckles.

The abundance of branches are short, rigid and upright, with thousands of twigs covered with large amounts of small, gray-green needles. The needles themselves are flimsy.

In late summer it produces small, lime, winged seeds that float and land far away.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
