Copper

Succulent type: Caudiciform (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This short caudiciform grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The very thick stem is copper, and is dotted with small red spines. The wavy, red trunk can grow to as much as 2 feet (61.0 cm) in diameter at the bottom. Its brown branches trail down across the ground and start growing at the base the stem.

The sparse amounts of smooth-edged, spear shaped leaves are solid crimson with florescent blue zig-zags. They are flexible, and take little effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 2 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with solid azure petals decorated with lime lines and a black central disk grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 8 petals in raised layers. It has a fairly strong scent that smells like onion.

The caudiciform's skin is very thick, the purple flesh is leathery, and the silver sap is thin.

It is slightly resistant to fire damage.
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
