Bronzeberry

This massive shrub grows up to 13 feet (4.0 meters) tall and lives for around 79 years. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous slender, wonky stems covered in silky, brown and grey bark, and the wood inside is gray.

The branches are short stubs with dozens of twigs that and are covered with copious amounts of huge, long, narrow, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are lilac and bronze, tough and waxy.

In mid-spring it produces dozens of medium-sized, brown blossoms with 6 heart-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a strong scent that smells like vomit.

In late autumn slender, 4 pointed fruits ripen. The fuzzy dull yellow skin is peel-able and inedible, and the slightly crunchy olive flesh is sweet and dry. The blood red seed is small and sits at the end of the fruit.
