Crimson Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This big leaf succulent grows up to 93 feet (28.3 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is gray-green, and is dotted with small gentle green spines. The bubbly leaves are solid orange or light purple, with brown zig-zags. Very large amounts of them grow on wide, emerald branches that trail down to the ground. The leaves are rigid, but take little effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 13 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with solid hazel petals decorated with gold dots and a bronze central disk, grow at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a cup with 20 widely spaced, narrow petals. It has a scent that varies in strength that smells like alcohol.

The leaf succulent's skin is delicate, the aquamarine flesh is rubbery, and the light brown sap is thin.

The sap is red.
It is suitable for making paper
