Vinepine
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This small tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 69 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.
It has a stocky, straight trunk covered in fine, ridged, pine-coloured bark, and inside, the very hard wood is white.
The small handful of branches trail down towards the ground and are covered with small bunches of sticky, miniature, thin leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are found in vibrant yellow and indigo varieties.
In late summer it forms giant, crimson, winged seeds that float and land far away.
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
