Azure Spike Succulent

This massive leaf succulent grows up to 118 feet (36.0 meters) tall. The wispy stem is sky blue, and is covered in copious amounts of flexible azure spines. The bubbly leaves are a shade of gray-green that gradient shifts to blood red at the top. Small bunches of them grow on slender, moss green branches that are short stubs. The leaves are tough, but detach easily.

It is slow growing, taking 41 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are slate on the edges and white at the center grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is made up of 37 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight heart. It has an overpowering scent that smells like onion.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the blood red flesh is sticky, and the brown sap is thin.
