Ember Moss

This orange moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In rainy mountain ranges.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is very frail.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release dozens of spores.
