Caramelactus
Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)This short cactus grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. It splits near the top to form 2 thin stems. Each stem is brown and caramel, and is covered in brittle caramel spines. The spherical body is orange, and is covered in brittle caramel spines.
It is fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with petals that are drab green on the edges and black at the center grows at the top, reappearing after 7 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a bowl made up of handfuls of raised, round-tipped petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like pot-purri.
The cactus's skin is delicate, the pink flesh is leathery, and the cream sap is thin.
It only grows on the most fertile lands.
It can absorb up to 19 times its own weight in water.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
