Copperleaf

This big leaf succulent grows up to 83 feet (25.3 meters) tall. The needle-like stem is gray, and is covered in brittle red spines. The thick leaves are generally slate. Large amounts of them grow on narrow, gray-green branches that are tall, rigid and upright. The leaves are sturdy, but are very difficult to pull away.

It is fast growing, taking 2 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with bronze petals that gradient shift to dark grey on the outer edge. The central disk is lilac grows at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a trumpet made up of handfuls of tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a powerful scent that smells like musk.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the copper flesh is sticky, and the white sap is thin and causes severe cramps if consumed.
