Lime Green Winder

This short flower grows up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. Its lime green stem is very thick and splits into 3 branching stems halfway up, and the miniature, deep purple leaves are very narrow and elongated with tattered edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

6 to 9 medium-sized flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with petals that are hazel at the sides and vivid yellow at the center. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 47 petals. They fall easily.

It has a faint scent that smells like candle wax, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind, but is enjoyed by several specific types of insect.
