Silvergrass

This colossal, silver grass grows up to 37 feet (11.3 meters) tall. The needle-like stalks grow in thick clumps that are durable and they are exceptionally hardy.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a medium-sized, purple flower.

During the late autumn, it produces very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with excessive amounts of tiny grains.
