Emerald Clump Moss

This gray-green moss is commonly found blanketing small areas On rotten logs.
It is colossal, growing up to 1.3 feet (41 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is extremely resistant.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release millions of spores.
