Caramel

This modest-sized caudiciform grows up to 72 feet (21.9 meters) tall. The slender, pointed stem is lime green, and is covered in handfuls of rigid pale red spines. The very thick, light brown trunk can grow to as much as 72 feet (21.9 meters) in diameter. Its caramel branches are long and thick.

The jagged-edged, very thin leaves are azure on the edges and silver at the center. They are rigid, but take some effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 6 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a handful of flowers, with petals that are blood red at the sides and crimson at the center, grow at the top, reappearing after 2 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 56 curved petals. It has a soft scent that smells like bleach.

The caudiciform's skin is delicate, the slate flesh is sticky, and the peach sap is thin and causes vomiting if consumed.
