Crimson Moss

This red moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In damp forests, In moorlands, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps and they are exceptionally hardy, and is extremely rigid; it burns easily in strong sunlight.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release thousands of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
