Violetberry
Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This colossal fruit tree grows up to 46 feet (14.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 45 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 84 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a thick, wavy trunk covered in fine, silky, dark brown bark, and inside, the very light wood is burgundy-brown.
The branches trail down across the ground and are covered with small bunches of giant, asymmetrical leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are violet on the sides and washed-out red at the center.
In early spring, it produces many bunches of large, silver blossoms with broad, flat petals. They fall easily and have a delicate scent that smells like new carpet.
In early autumn it produces small, cuboid fruit. The fuzzy washed-out orange skin is thick and edible when cooked; it is sweet, and the crunchy violet flesh is salty and oily. The black seed is tiny and sits at the top of the fruit.
The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with clear space between them.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
All parts of the moss are edible.
Offering it in a bouquet is supposed to bring good luck.
