Speckled White Tree

Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This modest-sized tree grows up to 11 meters (36.1 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 81 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in thick, ridged, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the light wood is light brown.

The tangled mess of branches are long and thick and are covered with copious amounts of fuzzy, miniature, 3 pointed leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are yellow and light grey.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, pale green, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with grassy ground between them.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
