Bronze?

This short fruit tree grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 40 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 49 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a branched, straight trunk covered in thin, smooth, black bark, and inside, the dense wood is mahogany-coloured.

The small handful of branches trail down to the ground and are covered with copious amounts of small, needle-like leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are orange on the sides and bronze at the center.

In early spring, it produces dozens of medium-sized, azure blossoms with stiff, pointed petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have an intense scent that smells like cotton.

In mid-autumn it produces tiny, spherical fruit. The smooth gold skin is peel-able and inedible, and the crunchy orange flesh is sweet and oily. The beige seeds are tiny and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
