Aurora Berry Tree

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in its stem)

This giant fruit tree grows up to 65 feet (19.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 45 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 74 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, straight trunk covered in rough, burgundy and brown bark, and inside, the very hard wood is white.

The branches trail down to the ground and are covered with large amounts of large, slender, pointed leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are found in crimson, cyan and gold varieties.

In early spring, it produces handfuls of medium-sized, orange blossoms with kidney-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like vanilla.

In late autumn it produces small, long, curved fruit. The hairy indigo skin is thick and inedible, and the very soft cyan flesh is sweet and very dry. The silver seed is very large and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
