Aquamarine

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This small leaf succulent grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The very thin stem is lime green, and is covered in lots of rigid aquamarine spines. The bubbly leaves are gold on the sides and amber at the center. Copious amounts of them grow on stumpy, burgundy branches that are short stubs. The leaves are hardy, but detach easily.

It is fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with alternating petals of magenta and black, with a cyan central disk, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a trumpet with 27 tightly layered, narrow petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like paint.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the crimson flesh is waxy, and the pastel purple sap is thin.

Offering it in a bouquet is supposed to bring good luck.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
