Copperleaf

This small leaf succulent grows up to 6 feet (1.8 meters) tall. The stiff, pointed stem is copper, and is covered in brittle pale orange spines. The rounded-edged, wide leaves are solid blue or intense orange, with beige lines. Small amounts of them grow from the base in alternating layers of 2, then 4, then 6, and so on. The leaves are robust, but easily come away when pulled.

It is steady-growing, taking 16 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with aquamarine petals on the lower layer and amber petals decorated with faded blue dots on the inner layer. The central disk is light grey grows at the top, reappearing once every 7 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 20 petals. It has a faint scent that smells like damp.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the peach flesh is leathery, and the olive sap is thin.
