Burgundy Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In moorlands, and In heathlands.
It is big, growing up to 9 inches (23 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is extremely delicate.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release dozens of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
