Aquamarine Moss

This drab orange or aquamarine moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In damp forests, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is small, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps, and is slightly rigid.
When mature, emerald teardrop-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release millions of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
