Copperfern

This average-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 27 years. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has numerous slender, twisting stems covered in waxy, copper-coloured bark, and the wood inside is yellow-brown.

The branches are long, thin and wispy with dozens of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of tiny, wispy, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are generally slate, light and smooth.

In late spring it produces lots of tiny, silver flowers with finger-like petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are sturdy and have a faint scent that smells like new books.
