This vivid green or blood red moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas In damp forests, On trees, and In rainforests.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is slightly robust.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release dozens of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.

It is bio-luminescent.
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
It is suitable for making baskets and the like
