Copperleaf

This average-sized tree grows up to 25 meters (82.0 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 553 years old. It is not very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a flexible, curved trunk covered in thin, cracked, dark green bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is yellow-brown.

The abundance of branches are very short, thin and wispy and are covered with large amounts of fuzzy, small, finger-like leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are solid copper with beige patches.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, gold, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
