Blue Jade

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This small leaf succulent grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall. The very thick stem is cream or crimson, and is covered in thick bunches of rigid dull blue spines. The smooth-edged, wide leaves are either blue or peach, with dark yellow patches. Handfuls of them grow from the base like blades of grass. The leaves are robust, and easily come away when pulled.

It is steady-growing, taking 21 months to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are either sky blue or hazel, with a yellow center grows at the top, reappearing once every 9 years. The flower head is shaped like a sphere made up of many raised, round-tipped petals. It has a soft scent that smells like fish.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the slate flesh is sticky, and the brilliant green sap is thin.

It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
It is suitable for making paper
