Magenta Daisy

This modest-sized flower grows up to 1.0 foot (30 cm) tall. Its yellow-green stems grow in bunches of 6 and are very thin with a curved tip, and the giant, moss green leaves are stiff, pointed with wavy edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Two medium-sized flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 18 cm (7.1 inches) wide, with solid magenta petals decorated with silver lines and a sky blue central disk. The flower head is shaped like a bowl with 7 raised, narrow petals. They detach easily.

It has a weak scent that smells like bleach, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by insects , but only one species in particular.
