Yellow Starvine

Flower type: Perennial (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This giant flower grows up to 7.8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. Its gray-green stem is thin, and the giant, yellow leaves are dark brown on the underside and are thin with smooth edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Two giant flowers sit at the end of each stem. The flowers are 104 cm (40.9 inches) wide, with each petal a slightly different shade of cream. The flower head is shaped like a star made up of handfuls of widely spaced, round-tipped petals. They are sturdy.

It has a strong scent that smells like garlic, and it has a fair amount of pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind.

It can survive a very long time without water.
It commonly grows in large patches.
It is said to be able to live for hundreds of years.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
