Crimson Succulent

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This average-sized cactus grows up to 42 feet (12.8 meters) tall. It splits near the top to form 6 thick stems. Each stem is green and cream, and is covered in brittle crimson spines.

It is slow growing, taking 10 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a single flower with petals that are sky blue at the sides and red at the center grows at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is shaped like a cube with 44 raised, round-tipped petals. It has a powerful scent that smells like faeces.

The cactus's skin is delicate, the hazel flesh is rough, and the pastel purple sap is thin.
