Burgundy Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found growing in large clumps In damp forests.
It is average-sized, growing up to 5 inches (13 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they are slow to spread and grow, and is extremely strong; it can easily endure being trodden on.
When mature, emerald cylindrical capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release hundred of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
