Lilac creeper

This small creeper is a very fast growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 12 feet (3.7 meters) and growing as high as 936 feet (285.3 meters).

It takes 10 months for the yellow-green stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 3 cm (1.2 inches) and are rough and fibrous.

The long, narrow, sticky leaves reach up to 4 inches (10 cm) in length. They are lilac and blue, and have serrated edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces balls of small crimson flowers.
