Creamspine

Succulent type: Stem succulent (Stores water in its stem)

This short cactus grows up to 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall. It splits at the base to form 6 stiff, pointed stems. Each stem is green, and is covered in large amounts of rigid cream spines.

It is fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with bronze petals on the lower layer and blood red petals decorated with white dots on the inner layer. The central disk is caramel grow at the top, reappearing after 7 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals in raised layers. It has a strong scent that smells like freshly baked bread.

The cactus's skin is thick, the amber flesh is rubbery, and the magenta sap is thin and causes diarrhea if consumed.


It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
