Copper

This small fruit tree grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall and lives for up to 15 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 22 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, straight trunk covered in knobbly, brown-green speckled bark, and inside, the hard wood is white with black speckles.

The excessive amount of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with small bunches of tiny, 5 pointed leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are copper and gold.

In early spring, it produces dozens of small, olive blossoms with stiff, pointed petals. They are hardy and have a delicate scent that smells like bleach.

In late autumn it produces tiny, needle-like fruit. The clammy purple skin is tough and bland, and the very soft indigo flesh is sour and dry. The caramel seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.
