Aquamarine Spike

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This big leaf succulent grows up to 98 feet (29.9 meters) tall. The spear shaped stem is lime green, and is dotted with small white spines. The finger-like leaves are peach on the edges and aquamarine at the center. Large amounts of them grow on slender, red branches that are short, rigid and upright. The leaves are frail, and take little effort to detach.

It is fast growing, taking 4 months to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are either violet or green, with a yellow center grow at the top, reappearing once every 7 years. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 28 petals. It has a weak scent that smells like blood.

The leaf succulent's skin is extremely thick, the hazel flesh is leathery, and the slate sap is thin and has hallucinogenic properties.

It is almost impossible to grow indoors.
It is suitable for making strong rope
