Bloodgrass
Grass type: Annual (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This colossal, blood red grass grows up to 36 feet (11.0 meters) tall. The long, tapering stalks grow in small clumps that are rigid and they are slow to spread and grow.
When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a tiny, lilac tuft.
During the mid-autumn, it produces very little pollen, and after flowering, it is left with plenty of large grains.
The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
