Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas On trees, In heathlands, and In moorlands.
It is enormous, growing up to 1.6 feet (48 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is very flimsy; it takes a lot of damage when trodden on.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release dozens of spores.
