Bluebell Fruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This large fruit tree grows up to 23 feet (7.0 meters) tall and lives for up to 40 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 60 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a stocky, straight trunk covered in thin, wrinkled, silver and white bark, and inside, the very dense wood is black with white speckles.

The branches are long and thin and are covered with large amounts of tiny, thick leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are either crimson or beige, with intense blue patches.

In early spring, it produces hundreds of large, sky blue blossoms with 2 pointed petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a weak scent that smells like vomit.

In mid-summer it produces large, wide fruit. The fuzzy blue skin is thin and edible when boiled; it is slightly spicy, and the crunchy violet flesh is spicy and juicy. The black seeds are large and are dotted around on the skin of the fruit.

The roots are fine and grow in a large web, and overall the tree is sturdy and rigid.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with patches of undergrowth between them.
