Copper

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Evergreen - keeps its leaves all year round)

This short fruit tree grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 48 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a long and flexible, twisting trunk covered in paper-thin, silky, light brown bark, and inside, the flexible wood is brown.

The large clumps of branches are long and slender and are covered with copious amounts of giant, finger-like leaves with jagged edges. The leaves themselves are green and olive.

In early spring, it produces dozens of small, copper blossoms with long, tapering petals. They are very delicate and have an intense scent that smells like apple.

In late summer it produces small, asymmetrical fruit. The waxy gold skin is stretchy and inedible, and the soft red flesh is bitter and powdery. The lime seeds are small and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy and difficult to uproot.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.

It makes a distinctive sound when the wind blows through it.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
