Crimson Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found blanketing medium-sized areas In rainy mountain ranges, In heathlands, and On rotten logs.
It is enormous, growing up to 1.3 feet (41 cm) tall. It forms in small clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is very hardy; it can easily endure flooding and draughts.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release millions of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
