Burgundy Rainforest Moss

This burgundy moss is commonly found growing in tiny clumps In rainforests.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is very sturdy.
When mature, emerald kidney-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release hundred of spores.
